About Arvekraft
Where old wisdom meets research
Arvekraft is about the strength in what is passed down between women: knowledge, rituals, care and courage. We tell it with warmth, and with reason intact.
Three generations
Arvekraft was founded in Bergen, Norway, and is run by one family across three generations. The grandmother is a nurse with a master’s degree in evidence-based practice and supervision, and a psychodrama instructor. She quality-checks everything we write about health and research.
The founder owns and runs Arvekraft. One daughter is training as a skin therapist and helps develop the skincare. The other has a strong eye for aesthetics and shapes our look.
How we label our content
Everything you read with us carries a label, so you always know what kind of knowledge it is.
Tradition
What has been handed down through generations, and where it comes from. Valuable as culture, not as proof.
Experience
What many people feel, and what we do ourselves. Real, but personal.
Knowledge
What research actually says, with sources, and a clear warning when something calls for care.
What we promise
- We show our sources, and correct mistakes when we find them.
- We never promise health effects, and our content does not replace a doctor or other health professional.
- Advertising and partnerships are clearly labelled. We only recommend what we stand behind.
- We use no tracking and no cookies on the website.
- We choose ethically sourced stones, organic herbs where possible, and good working conditions.
- Everything is built on kindness and compassion. Nobody should be frightened by anything they read with us.
